At Lildal we have more than 60 years’ experience of offering industrial

customised our products to meet every national and local requirement and
guideline.
In recent years rendering has increasingly come into the limelight – because
the finished products (meat and bone meal) are indirectly used for human
consumption.
As this means that certain diseases can spread to humans, a number of rules
and regulations have been laid down to protect the public from any risk
associated with the consumption of meat and meat products.
In the EU this is governed by the so-called “By-product Regulation”. Its
official title is “Regulation (EC) No 1774/2002”, and in it the European
Parliament and Commission have laid down rules for by-products not suitable
for human consumption. The directive came into force on April 30, 2003.
All equipment supplied by Lildal is manufactured in full compliance with
European standards.
